
In the U.S., Nissan Group announced total sales for June 2018 of 145,096 units, an increase of 1 percent compared to the previous year. This marks a June record. Nissan Division sales set a June record at 134,398 units, an increase of 3%. With 1,710 deliveries last month, the all-new 2019 INFINITI QX50 luxury crossover, powered by the world's first variable compression engine, was up 41%, its best June ever. In total, INFINITI reported deliveries of 10,698 vehicles in the U.S. during June, down 13%.
In Canada, Nissan Group announced total sales of 16,330 units in June 2018, an increase of 2% and an all-time monthly sales record. The Nissan and INFINITI Divisions also recorded their best month of sales ever. The Nissan Division sold 14,932 units in June, an increase of 0.9% year-over-year. The INFINITI Division sold 1,398 vehicles, an increase of 16.3%.
In China, Nissan reported double-digit sales growth for its overall operations and the passenger vehicle businesses, for June and the January-June period, respectively. Nissan China and its passenger vehicle businesses – Dongfeng Nissan and Dongfeng Venucia – boosted sales 10.4% from a year earlier to 131,038 vehicles and 13.2% to 110,305 vehicles, respectively. The light commercial vehicle business – Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd. (DFAC) and Zhengzhou Nissan (ZNA) – sold 16,577 vehicles, representing a slight decrease of 3.0%.
