Manufactured by Mazda from 1978-1985 the 1st Gen RX7 has a Wankel rotary engine producing up to 115hp. The RX-7 has a low centre of gravity and balanced weight distribution that when combined with its lightweight produced a fun little sports car. The RX-7 proved a successful race car around the world. In Australia the RX7 won the 1983 Australian Touring Car Championship, as well as podiums at Bathurst in 1981, 1983 and 1984.
