YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for September and for the six months from April to September 2021.
1. Production
September 2021
Global production in September declined 27.9% from a year earlier.
- Production in Japan declined 24.5% from a year earlier.
- Production outside Japan declined 28.4% from a year earlier.
April-September 2021
Global production in the April-September period increased 3.0% from a year earlier.
- Production in and outside Japan surpassed year-earlier results by 25.8% and 0.2%, respectively.
2. Sales
September 2021
Global sales in September declined 21.4% from a year earlier.
- Sales including minivehicles in Japan declined 13.8% from a year earlier.
- Sales of registered vehicles in Japan declined 4.6% from a year earlier.
- Minivehicle sales in Japan declined 24.4% from a year earlier.
- Sales outside Japan declined 22.5% from a year earlier.
April-September 2021
Global sales in the April-September period surpassed year-earlier results by 4.1%.
- Sales including minivehicles in Japan declined 4.1% from a year earlier.
- Sales of registered vehicles in Japan surpassed year-earlier results by 8.6%.
- Minivehicle sales in Japan declined 19.5% from a year earlier.
- Sales outside Japan surpassed year-earlier results by 5.1%.
3. Exports from Japan
September 2021
Exports from Japan in September declined 18.3% from a year earlier.
April– September 2021
Exports from Japan in the April-September period surpassed year-earlier results by 60.4%.
