1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) turbocharged engine
When it came time to breathe greater performance into the Sentra SR Turbo, our engineers pulled out all the stops. Spray-coated and mirror-finished cylinder bores were applied to the 1.6-L DIG turbocharged engine, while a low-pressure cooled EGR system was added for greater efficiency at higher loads. The result? Engine friction and weight were reduced, while performance increased.
Xtronic CVT® (Continuously Variable Transmission) with Manual Shift Mode
Unlike conventional automatic transmissions, the virtually gearless Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) makes gear-hunting a thing of the past. Fully variable gear ratios mean the CVT can hold the engine at the ideal rpm, giving you a wave of power when you need it, and achieving quiet, efficient cruising when you don't.
11.7" front ventilated disc brakes
A bigger engine means you need bigger brakes. Sentra SR Turbo Midnight Edition comes equipped with 11.7" front ventilated disc brakes, larger than on other Sentra models, and higher heat-resistance brake pads for added stopping power.
Vehicle-speed-sensitive electric power steering
Sentra is sensitive to your needs. Its electric power steering system senses how fast you’re going, so it provides a natural, solid feel at higher speeds and more power assist at low speeds for effortless maneuvers.
Eco, Normal, and Sport drive modes
Sentra is equipped with three drive modes to suit your mood. Choose Eco mode to help maximize fuel efficiency. For maximum responsiveness – and a boost of fun – try Sport mode. For an ideal blend of efficiency and performance, set it to Normal.
Active Understeer Control
Active Understeer Control reads the cornering situation and, if needed, brakes the appropriate wheel to help you steer through the turn.
